The Betty Crocker Cookbook – Kitchen-Tested Recipes App Reviews

My APP is half downloaded post most recent update. It will not finish. I can not open / use the APP. Ive tried to deleted it - just so I could download the APP again. Cant delete the APP either. Also on a iPad Air.

I cant open or close this Betty Crocker app please help , I have it on my iPad Air thank you , I do enjoy this app. But I cant use it please help

This app is a great companion to the classical cookbook. Ive found some great recipes that I dont have in my book. Like the cook, they range from simple to complex, but are always tasty.

Some of my recipes are missing completely from both favorites and cookbook. I can only find them by Googling them. Please bring all of the recipes back!

This app is not helpful to me if the recipes all contain branded products that are affiliated with Betty Crocker in some way. For example, Bisquick doesnt belong in a true "made from scratch" recipe. If this app cant be true to the spirit of the original scratch recipes, then really, its just being used as a shill for the brands that are "highlighted". What a disappointment. Deleted app. Will look elsewhere.

I added something to my favorites but favorites wont open it! Also, I can search for an item on the website for not in this poorly developed app. If you cant can a good app, then dont make an app. What a waste of my time.

Loved this app until two weeks ago when my favorites was nearly empty and a search displays "not found" when looking for them. These are recipes I have made over an over. Thank goodness I still have an old iPad with the old version.

Betty Crocker has so many recipes and yet you cant find any of them in this app. Most of the recipes require you to buy Bisquick, Suddenly Salad or a cookie mix. I just searched for a sugar cookie recipe and didnt find a single recipe for actual sugar cookies, just recipes that use the sugar cookie baking mix. Plus it hasnt been updated since July? If you want from scratch recipes, Id recommend just buying the big red book.

UI is disgusting. Every time I try scrolling through my favorites touching the stupid app opens the recipe and then when you back out of it, it takes you back to the beginning of your favorites list. My favorites list is long. I have no patience for incompetence like this.

Thousands of recipes. Easy to use with the ability to search. I have always used my Betty Crocker recipe book but now I can search the thousands of recipes quickly and tag them as a favorite. Keep your favorites in folders you create with one touch. Thank you for making my daily cooking tasks so much easier!

I have two betty Crocker cookbooks and theyre my favorite cookbooks IN THE WORLD!! I love all the pictures and I love love love that it separates by category. I like this app because you can type in what you have and get a recipe. I havent used the app yet but I have been doing a lot of research on the app and so far I really like it! I never downloaded it before because of the low ratings but somethings you just need to see for yourself

I downloaded this for the cake recipes. However, ever cake recipe they have calls for a box of cake mix. I want to bake a cake from scratch not from a box. Thankfully, I found my Betty Crocker cook book. Nothing better than going old school.

I am very fond of all the recipes and tips. I wish that there was a way that didnt have to login each time in able to save a recipe to my favorites. It take Al long time the load the login and uses up my battery before I can view my favorites. Can the bug be fixed?

I love the recipes...my family and I devour them every single time BUT....why wont I stay logged in?? Every time I open the app it makes me log in AGAIN n it is getting very frustrating. Other than that its a great way to find recipes!!

I have this app on both my iPhone and iPad. The one on my iPhone works fine. The one on my iPad redirects me to the App Store and makes me re download it every time I want to use it! Very very frustrating!!!

Thank you for fixing the automatic log out that happened every time the app was closed. I echo Mwelmores sentiments about the recipe box for favorites. We used to be able to categorize our favorite recipes in the box. At least give us a search option

It helps when app developers keep their apps up to date with the latest trends, devices, and formats. This app lacks all of that. In addition, most of the recipes are geared for lazy cooks who want to fix "gourmet" meals with pre-fabb ingredients in five minutes or less.

The app works fine, but the recipes are not those from scratch, which are what is in the cookbook (at least the older version). For example, the pumpkin cookies start with a pouch of BC sugar cookie mix. If I wanted to make pre-prepared food, I would just read the directions on the side of the box. Id rather pay a small amount and get the "real" BC recipes in electronic format than use the pre-made ones in this free app.

Since the app updated I can no longer access my favorites. This is terrible timing as I need recipes Ive saved for Christmas cookies I need to make. Very disappointed!
